COMPOSITION
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) has anti-depressive, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects.
Hawthorn (Crataegus Monogyna Jacq.) is used for chronic heart conditions, especially congestive heart failure, as well as angina and arrhythmia. The components in Hawthorn may act directly on the heart muscle to increase the force of heartbeats and on the blood vessels to relax the arteries around the heart. Hawthorn also lengthens the time that the heart rests between beats. It may also work indirectly by widening blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. As a result, it is thought to help lower blood pressure. Hawthorn is widely used in Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia.
Black Horehound (Ballota nigra) prevents and relieves stomach spasms, alleviating feelings of nausea. Due to its additional mild sedative properties, Black Horehound has been used to treat nervous stomach associated with anxiety. Both its anti-nausea and anti-anxiety effects make black horehound useful for treating insomnia and general nervousness. In Europe, it is used commonly to relieve mild nervous conditions.
ACTION/EFFECTS
Hiper is specifically designed to help relieve mild to moderate depression. It is also designed to compensate for deficiencies of important vitamins and minerals in the typical diet. Hiper provides a soothing action and, additionally, supplies vitamins and magnesium required for good health.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hiper is not recommended for pregnant or lactating (breast feeding) women or for children under 12.
